I’ve had a Joey Chair for 6 years and I love it. I use it on my wilderness canoe trips. I like it because it sits up higher than the smaller helinox type chairs. Get one you’ll love, especially if you’re over 60 years old.

I have bought 4 of these pricey chairs over a period of about 3 years. The first one I bought is still perfect. These chairs are super light weight and easy to carry 4 at a time as I do along with a cooler and other stuff. They hold 300# I believe. So, while they are light enough for backpacking, we use them at outdoor music events, movies, festivals, etc. We keep then in the car and they take up almost no room. Super well built and strong. Very comfortable and I am a big guy. The best reason to buy these particular chairs however (there a number of other similar chairs on the market) is because of the seat height. These chairs sit higher than other similar chairs so it is easy to get out of them as opposed to the others. Be advised however that setting these chairs up take longer than throwing down a typical bag chair, but so what,, easy-peasy once you get used to it. So, although somewhat expensive, these chairs are in my mind lifetime investments and represent good value.

Comfy portable chair. Great customer service…

  4. Kelli

Chair worked great for a little bit, then one of the “L” joints broke. The company displayed amazing customer service in getting it replaced, so Travel Chair gets a thumbs up for fantastic post-purchase service.

  5. Joel

This is a great compact travel chair. Perfect for music festivals. It is small and sets up in seconds. I love this chair.

I bought a Joey Chair Back in 2015. In October of 2016 I lost the chair insert. I casually e-mailed travel chair to see if I could get a replacement. Not only did they help me out as quickly as possible but they even followed up to make sure I was taken care of.
The Joey Chair alone is great but this company has made the biggest impression. Get the chair because its great & you will have a good company standing behind it!

Been looking for something like this for a long time as I am a avid motorcycle touring rider and always hated strapping on a conventional folding camping chair across the seat or wherever as it looked like a set of airplane wings hanging off the sides! This chair is great, comfortable, compact and after a few times of using and learning the tricks of folding it out and assembling…now its like it assembles itself! Its folds up real easy and small and tucks away nicely in its own little carry bag and fits perfectly in my top case or side bags of my bike! …Plus it has a 1-year warranty and backed and made by a great company with great customer support!

Thanx Travel Chair for making a Biker friendly compact portable chair!

    Love it. Worth the price.

Great chair. 30 seconds to put up. Hugely comfortable. I carry it in the Rockies, light enough to be worth carrying it on a hike.

  11. Bevy

I can’t stand for long periods of time so this super lightweight chair is perfect. It is so easy to carry and set up.

Bought a Joey chair last week… been using it since. I love it.

Super small packed, comfortable unfolded. And sturdy at that: Nothing
before could hold my 100 kg.

Amazing, innovative product that is a game changer. So small and compact and it’s hard to believe there’s a chair in the bag that can provide all day comfort. It fits perfectly in my pannier and works for motorcycle trips.

Slacker Stool- 1389V

"I now keep one in my car ready for any type of activity where sitting is preferable than standing. You can insert your own activity here. The size make this easy to grab when in doubt, and has often served as a life saver.

Easily stored and low-profile. Almost no bigger or heavier than an umbrella. You will not complain taking it with you and will be rewarded by being rested and comfortable when you get up."

"After owning this chair for a little more than half a year, I can confirm that this chair is all-around amazing. It is extremely comfortable and it is pretty light weight.

As others have mentioned, the feet outperform other chairs that have straight feet in the sand. The feet design allows for the chair to sit on top of sand rather than sinking in.

My friends are always jealous when I bring this chair to the park (which is every time, since its so easy to pack). So much that we often end up taking turns on it
If you're debating whether or not to get it, do yourself a favor and just buy it!"

"Awesome sturdy comfortable chair. I don't know why but I am the King Champion of breaking folding camp chairs. I am 6'2" 295lbs and have broke many 300lbs rated chairs, one chair cut up the back of my knee pretty good when it failed.

My son is 6'7" 325lbs and plays major college football, he has not even come close to breaking as many chairs as I have. Well the Big Kahuna Chair is rock solid and comfortable I don't ever see this chair failing. If it ever does I'll post it."
